Most gratifying outcome for any speaker is seeing a ‘shift in perspective’ amongst the audience at the end of session. A glimmer of excitement that comes from learning new perspective, a query arising from genuine curiosity about topic touched and an enthusiasm to share their similar experience after the session – all these and more happened at this recent session at the #knowledgecenter , Gurugram.
The masterclass explored #bioenergeticarchitecture—a design approach that focuses on how our buildings can do more than just shelter us.
Architecture can facilitate health, happiness and harmony in our lives.
We moved beyond the theory with live demonstrations, videos and practical examples.
The most rewarding part was the ‘palpable curiosity’.
Participants were excited to discover how our ‘biofields’ are constantly shaped by the colors, shapes, and even the intentions embedded in our architecture. The discussion lasted long after the session ended, with many picking up my books to continue their journey.
Full credit for this event goes to the Knowledge Center events team spearheaded by architect #ankurjain. Their attention to detail was flawless. The very concept of the Knowledge Center is an idea whose time has come—a hub for wisdom that truly matters for architects and designers from diverse realms.
Key takeaway from the Session:
“Architects don’t just build spaces; we are creating energy systems that impact the lives of inhabitants beyond the sensory realm as well”.
The group explored how we can revitalize our lives through following dimensions and the way we connect with our built-environment :
1- Power of Grounding: Reconnecting our bodies with the Earth’s natural energy.
2- Vitalized Water: Understanding the energetic quality of the water we consume.
3- Mitigating Geopathic Stress: Identifying how natural radiation from the earth’s crust can impact our sleep and long-term health.
4- Aayadi Vaastu: Looking at traditional design through the lens of energetic resonance to ensure the building vibrates in harmony with its owner.
5- EMR Protection: Practical ways to limit our exposure to electromagnetic fields.
6- The Five Elements (Panch-Mahaabhoot): Integrating Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space into our designs to ensure we never lose our connection to the source.

Bioenergetic Architecture touches upon the realm of Building Biology, Vaastu, the science of Geopathic Stress and the physics of the ‘Panch-Mahaabhoot’ besides vitalized water, circadian rhythms, artificial light and more. If integrating these principles into your professional design practice interest you or intrigue you, the book ‘Architecture for Wellbeing – 9 Precepts of Bioenergetic Architecture’ could be a perfect starting point.
